"Weaving Community: alternative economies in Mexico City".
This paper attempts to present the results of some alternative economies exercises, practiced in
the twenty-first century Mexico City.
People talked about in this paper are those born under the shadow of neo-liberalism and the drift
of the, so-called, end of ideology; they are social subjects who intend to practice the apparently
unachievable into a metropolis of more than 20 million people, a human-scale economy. Among
the exposure of practical exercises are interspersed reflections on what defines an alternative community
economy and how we can understand it.
